I just returned from a short stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. It was a last minute trip so there was not a lot of availability so I booked a room at the Dolphin hotel located in the Boardwalk area of the Disney World Resort. We were mainly planning to visit Epcot for an Eat to the Beat Concert so the location was perfect. Here is why I would definitely stay at the Dolphin again!
Location, Location, Location!
The Swan and Dolphin hotels are located within walking distance of EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This means easy access to two major Disney parks without needing long bus rides. You can also hop on the Skyliner at the Epcot station and head to other resorts if you want to resort hop. The Swan and Dolphin are only a few hotels that you have such easy access to two of the theme parks.
Scenic Boardwalk Area
The Boardwalk area of Disney World is one of my favorite places! The hotels are situated on Disney’s Boardwalk, providing access to great dining, shopping, and entertainment options. There is so much to do in this area without ever visiting a park! You can visit other resorts such as the Yacht and Beach Club and the Boardwalk Inn. Enjoy great restaurants like Cape May Cafe or The Flying Fish. Entertainment venues like Jelly Rolls Dueling Piano Bar will keep you entertained all night. For some great exercise, you can rent 4 seater surrey bikes to ride around the Boardwalk.
Access to Disney Perks
By staying at the Swan and Dolphin guests can enjoy early entry to the Disney parks, allowing you to beat some of the crowd for popular attractions. You can also take park in Extended Evening Hours where on select nights, guests can stay longer in the parks, taking advantage of lighter crowds and shorter wait times.
Great for Marriott Bonvoy Members
Since the hotels are part of the Marriott family, guests can earn and redeem Marriott Bonvoy points. This can be a big perk for frequent travelers who want to use or earn points
during their Disney vacation.
Next time you plan to visit the Walt Disney Resort, give the Swan and Dolphin hotels a thought. They can be booked either as a package with Disney tickets or as a standalone hotel room. You won't be disappointed!
